WAS STANISŁAW BARABASZ FATHER OF POLISH SKIING?
There was hold that origin of Polish skiing was joined with first ski experiments of the Stanisław Barabasz from 1888. But he wrote about it in his associations until in 1914. The occurrences of his relations have not be precisely verify for many years. Historical sources analyzed in this paper confirmed however facts witch he described. Additionally, he accompanied development of the Polish skiing. He was one from the first Polish people who skiing in the Tatra Mountains. He was one of founders of the Ski Section of Tatra Associations in Zakopane (1907) and the Tatra Voluntary Rescue Organization (1909). He was ski equipment inventor also. This data indicate that he has full title to name father of Polish skiing.
